This wonderfully informative infographic provides a reference and guidelines on where on the body to apply different essential oils and essential oil blends.

Applying an aromatic essential oil in the right place is sometimes just as important as choosing the right oil to achieve specific objectives and results.

That said, most oils are thought to be highly effective when applied to the soles of the feet.  This advise was also given to me by the Ayurvedic practitioner during my Panchakarma retreat.   During the intensive detoxification treatment, I was required to rub organic Brahmi Oil into the soles of my feet every night after a detox bath and right before falling asleep.
