Aromatherapy is an integral part of holistic health and natural beauty.  Essential oils, which form the basis of aromatherapy, have been used to heal and beautify since 3500 BC - the time of the ancient Egyptians.

Today, there is a growing trend away from artificial, synthetic and chemically infused wellness and beauty products and treatments.  Instead, there is an increasingly growing interest in natural, pure and additive-free formulations and applications.

People are re-discovering the many benefits of using various natural ingredients such as sea salts, Epsom salt, baking soda, apple cider vinegar, coconut, almond and olive oil, herbs and spices, and essential oils.

Essential oils, which are liquids extracted from the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds, bark and other parts of plants, have a variety of beneficial healing properties, uses ad applications.  Because each aromatic oil has specific qualities, it is important to have a good working knowledge of essential oils before using them in any homemade or DIY recipe.
