Anti-Aging Color Chart

Anti-Aging and Healthy Skin Color Chart
According to various health and environmental organizations, our exposure to environmental toxins are currently at epidemic levels.  It is estimated that the average woman who lives in the West, applies over 500 synthetic chemicals every day in the form of cosmetics, skincare, hair care, personal hygiene and similar products.

These chemicals get absorbed into the body through the skin (or are ingested as in the case of lipstick and lip gloss).

Many health and beauty experts believe that these chemicals are toxic to human health and accelerate the aging process.

One way to help fight the effects of toxins is to eat a diet rich in fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. Organically and locally grown produce is thought to have higher concentrations of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and other important nutrients that help the body to detox and counter the effects of aging.

Eating a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables seems to be the key.  An easy way is to cover the bases is to try to eat from each of the colors of the rainbow:  purple, blue, green, yellow and orange.

This chart illustrates just a few of the fruits and vegetables that are thought to be particularly beneficial to the health of our skin and includes a brief summary of key nutrients in each and how they benefit skin:

✿ Beets
✿ Blueberries
✿ Avocado
✿ Citrus (Lemons, Oranges, Limes)
✿ Sweet Potato
✿ Tomato
